The passport-type photographs that I use for the works of the Puzzles Series, I have taken of emigrants who flee their countries because their lives are in danger, they often tell me their stories and many of them are heartbreaking.
It is possible that most of them will be accepted as refugees indefinitely, others only temporarily and the most unfortunate will be deported to their countries of origin.
I use different techniques of facial disorientation, especially for children who experience these tragedies. I intend to convey the feelings of these people, their anguish and the psychological conflict caused by the insecurity of the future of their lives and that of their loved ones.

Each work contains multiple images that mix and grow in different directions related to family, friends and new acquaintances.

It is related to the adaptation of individuals who are forced to migrate and who end up in territories with a different culture. The unconscious conflict between the ingrained and the new customs or social demands of their new environment is slow, silent, but inevitable.

Today the anguish and insecurity is much greater for people who are in legal limbo caught in the process of their application for asylum or refuge, while this new invisible enemy extends to the life of humans, anywhere and at any time.

Three-dimensional geometric figures inspired by the shape of the cube and only a part of it can be seen, the rest is embedded in the plane of the floor, the wall or both. They have a visual entrance that illusorily communicates us inward, product of the reflections of the mirrors and the light inside.
These cubes covered with photographic images try to represent the psychological situation of the emigrants during their legal process. You can't tell if the cube is sinking, stabilizing, or rising. It depends on the weight you carry inside you and the gravity of space, where you are.

They are susceptible to falling into the traps of international human trafficking mafias (including the sexual slavery of children under the age of ten and the sale of their organs).
